Bajaj Avenger 200 DTS-i Review
Bajaj Avenger 200 DTS-i has been launched in its 200cc avatar, scrapping the old 180cc model which ran a tag line of “Feel like God” in one of its popular advertisements. The main classic features of Bajaj Avenger include round headlamp, simple fairing-less front profile chrome-finished single pod instrument, Multi-spoked chrome-plated wheels, Rectangular rear view mirrors, Aluminium levers and Bullet machismo like windshield.
Looks and Style
The Avenger’s 200cc DTSi sports a classic look with various chrome finished parts and a body that looks like a Harley Davidson. The tank-set neatly houses the all-new sleek tank mounted fuel gauge along with the other indicators. The bike also comes with the international standards windshield option. The windshield adds to the aesthetic value of the new Avenger. The rear backrest, the chrome around the headlight, the wire spoked wheels and a lot of other elements make this bike stand out from the crowd. Avenger comes in 4 colours Black, Red, Blue and Silver.
Performance
The bike is powered by a four stroke, DTS-i, oil cooled engine having a capacity of 198.8 cc. Maximum power produced by the bike is 17.51 PS at an early 8000 rpm with the peak torque output of 16.78 Nm zipping at 6000 rpm. Avenger 200 DTSi also does away with the kick lever and goes in just with the Electric Start. The bike is wonderfully balanced, while the riding position is relaxed and comfortable, the gear shifter and brakes are positioned up front which helps in keeping the legs relaxed at all times. The suspension at the rear allows five settings for preload and offers a comfortable drive on the bumpiest of roads.
BharatBuy Conclusion
Bajaj Avenger 200 DTS-i is a well designed bike with an affordable price tag, considering the expensive cruiser bikes segment which it caters too. So if anyone wants to drive something different on the street than the sports look or commuter bikes and is willing to shell out more money, Bajaj Avenger 200 surely offers an interesting deal. |
