Bajaj Platina DTS-Si 125cc was introduced in September 2008 with sales of more than 30,000 units per month. The bike has a same engine of XCD 125 DTS-Si. The key differentiated features on the new Platina DTS-Si as compared to its 100cc predecessor are DTS-Si Engine, 125cc, test conditions mileage of 111 kmpl, Electric Start, Auto Choke, Anti-Friction DU bushes in Front-Fork, SNS Suspension and Twin pilot Lamps.
Looks and Style
Bajaj Platina DTS-Si 125cc comes in 4 different colour variants Long Beach Blue, Cocktail Red, Slate Grey and Black Maroon. Look wise the bike might not be a stunner as compared to its 125cc counterparts but it is surely a neat finely crafted bike with stylish Fairing, twin pilot lamps, the all black styling, clear lens blinkers and chrome graphics.
Performance
Bajaj Platina DTS-Si 125cc has a four stroke DTS-Si air cooled engine. The capacity of the engine is 124.6cc that allows a maximum power of 9.53Ps @ 7000rpm and torque to the engine of 10.85Nm @ 5000rpm. The bike offers a good ride with well padded seats for the long distance comfort. The 130mm and 110mm drum brakes works effectively even on difficult conditions. The bike hits the top speed of 96 Kph passing 60kph in a tardy 8.4 seconds. Platina 125cc allows a comfortable city ride with SNS (Spring-N-Spring) rear suspension with the longest travel of 105mm in its class.
