Bajaj Pulsar 180 DTS-i Review
The latest edition of Bajaj Pulsar 180 DTS-i got launched in early 2009.
Looks and Style
Bajaj Pulsar 180 DTS-i is one is one of the best looking bikes on the Indian roads, considering the price tag. The design is quite reminiscent of the newer 220 version and comes with similar colour choices of Silver, Blue, Red and Black. The splits seats and the fatter rear tyres give a sports bike feel to the vehicle. While the metallic engraved pulsar logo, two piece grab rail, Aerodynamic tank flaps, Wolf eyed headlamps, L.E.D tail lamp, Black styling, Kickless start and the split handle bars give an imposing feeling.
Performance
The bike is powered by a four stroke, DTS-i, air & oil cooled engine having a capacity of 178.6 cc. Maximum power produced by the bike is 17.02 PS at an early 8500 rpm with the peak torque output of 14.22 Nm zipping at 6500 rpm. The engine sound is nice and smooth and refined. It can pull up from 28kmph in 5th gear without any complains. Suspension and handling of the bike is also very good, however the rear drum brakes do disappoint at times. The bike has a longer turning radius.
BharatBuy Conclusion
Bajaj Pulsar 180 DTSi gives superior performance, has a great line-up of standard equipments and overall looks good too. If you are just a commuter and want performance with reliability and also would like to ride in your own world without much buzz about it go for the Pulsar 180. |
